The focus for this event was on teaching games. Carl started out teaching a 5-player game of Smartphone where a mix up of the game components by Michael saw some hilarious sledging from the other players, ably led by Phil who ended up winning by a very healthy margin.
The next game Carl taught was Brass Birmingham and he was then aided by Mike to teach Great Western Trail.

Great night of gaming; we had a four-player learning game of Great Western Trail 2nd Edition. Zac, Maurice, and Justin got through the teaching process and away we went. Zac went for a heavy craftsman strategy and managed to build the 13vp and 20VP buildings – and won – outstanding effort for a first game!
We had a funny moment where all four of us ended up on the same building- all trying to get a good delivery before Kansas City. 😏 LOL. Hope to see GWT on the table again so our new players can delve into its strategies. Thanks everyone.

Tim taught me and Trish how to play Viticulture last night, which was awesome. I stuffed up quite a few times learning the rules and trying to get into the rhythm of things. I surged ahead late game though. Ended up being a close game, but Trish snuck home with the victory. Going to get this game out again real soon. Love it. Thx heaps for the teach Tim!
